For those new to condition monitoring not only is the promise plausible but it’s a major step into IIoT. For veterans of condition monitoring however, there is a sense that some of the claims sound just a bit like ‘the Emperor’s New Clothes’. This educational webinar is targeted at both end users and solution providers, to highlight the considerations for a successful wireless vibration monitoring program and cuts through the hype to set expectations of what can realistically be achieved with MEMS sensor technology.

About the Presenters:
Matthew Moore BSc (Hons) is the Global Subject Matter Expert in Condition Monitoring for Petrofac. He has over 25 years of experience in the field of vibration and condition monitoring and is a certified Mobius Institute ISO 18436-2 Category IV vibration analyst and training partner. Matthew has extensive experience implementing vibration monitoring programs and developing global guidance documents and site specific condition monitoring strategies for major International, joint venture and independent oil and gas companies.

Ed Spence is the Founder and Managing Director of The Machine Instrumentation Group, a consultant representing a network of consulting and contract engineering service providers with expertise in Condition Monitoring, sensor design, signal processing and data engineering. Previously, Ed was the Marketing Manager for Analog Devices MEMS Sensor Technology Group, where he defined the MEMS accelerometer roadmap for vibration based Condition Monitoring, winning an Innovation Award at Sensors Expo 2017 for the flagship ADXL1002 MEMS accelerometer.
