WEBINAR DESCRIPTION:
With today’s shrinking qualified workforce, it’s common for plants to have their maintenance staff busy repairing “bad actors”. Reliability Engineer Brad Lewis took a different approach in two separate plants. Supported by Reliability Specialist Cindy Moblo, he developed a program to evaluate and correct the root causes of many of the failures his plants were experiencing. Once the root causes were determined, a step-by-step program was developed to resolve the issues. This resulted in a dramatic reduction in maintenance costs and lost production.
Learning Takeaways:
Focusing on bad actors
More time should be spent evaluating the common root causes of failures (like lubricant contamination, product misapplication and varnish)
Solving those issues
