In this episode, we talk about the Charlie Brown fault zone: Insulation. Back in the 1840’s, one of the first forms of insulation which was developed to prevent electricity from getting to a person or ground, was glass. Eventually in the late 1800’s, insulation became things like porcelain, PVC, and rubber. Today, they use products like epoxy resin and synthetic polymers. Tune in to hear more about the evolution of insulation and why it is such an important part of motors.
