Webinar Description:
Traditionally portable sensor-based condition monitoring systems haven proven their effectiveness over last few decades in managing risks in the critical assets operation and optimization of the maintenance activities. The online condition monitoring systems are becoming more affordable and effective in recent years in terms of transient events detection, data acquisition safety, fault tracking and proactive maintenance of critical assets. An overview of both wireless and wired sensor-based system will be provided with emphasis on advantage and limitation of each technology.

A use-case for utilization of a mix of portable sensor-based condition monitoring systems and online systems will be presented, with emphasis on advantage and limitation of each methodology, outlining a proper mix for optimum ROI. This will be followed by various case studies, where the online system has been proven to be more effective in terms of transient events detection, safety improvement, fault tracking, proactive maintenance and design improvement of critical assets.
