Structural Looseness in the System

Structural rigidity in the system plays a pivotal role in controlling vibrations. Once you have structural looseness, it starts dodging you with an unbalanced case and you start wasting your time in checking other things instead of paying attention to minute details like mentioned in the pictures.

Belt conveyor Motor & Gear was producing extremely high vibrations up to 50mm/sec which is a nightmare for a vibration team. A quick check beneath the Motor & Gear frame gave us the source of vibrations. Multiple Cracks in the frame were discovered which were patched and the vibration levels became ok.
