Webinar Description:

Water intrusion into electric motors is a major concern for maintenance professionals. Water can be absorbed by electric machines in several ways. One is by condensation – where the thermal mass of the motor causes it to lag below ambient temperature and dew point. This causes water droplets to form on and inside motor spaces. Without motor space heaters operating properly, this can happen quickly and it often causes devastating problems within the motor processes. In this session, we will look at the implications of water intrusion and provide solutions to easily clarify if motor space heaters are operating correctly.

Learning Takeaways:

  1. Do you use motor space heaters?
  2. Are you positive that all your motor space heaters are wired correctly and work properly?
  3. Are there tools that don’t require significant engineering-level modifications or investment?
