Webinar Description:

Machinery health monitoring is a vital part of maintenance programs that reduce costs and downtime, but you don’t have to be a vibration expert to improve your process. You can monitor critical machinery vibration levels using cost-effective sensors and transmitters that run on common 4-20 mA loops. Trended data indicates the overall machine health, with no analysis required, and can provide 1 to 3 months advance warning before a machine failure. When trends indicate an increase in overall vibration levels, raw vibration data can be deployed for fault diagnostics. Modern 4-20 mA vibration transmitters can even perform advanced vibration analysis techniques and convert them to simplified process outputs for targeted fault monitoring.

Learning Takeaways:

1. How process monitoring can increase uptime and bring down maintenance costs.

2. How trending overall vibration levels differs from vibration analysis.

3. How common process control systems (PLC / DCS / SCADA) can be used for alarming and advance warning of developing faults.

4. How pre- and post-processing vibration data can enhance fault diagnostics.
