Introduction of new Bently Nevada transducer system for non-contact measurement of alternating torsional stress in rotating shafts. The presentation covers the physical principles behind the operation of the eddy current transducer system, outlines the steps for successful implementation of measurements on industrial machines and provides an overview of sample project results.
About the Presenters:
Piotr Miałkowski is the Machinery Diagnostic Services (MDS) Technical Leader, for Bently Nevada, a Baker Hughes business. He joined Bently Nevada MDS in 1999, previously worked for ABB in the areas of rotordynamics and diagnostics. Piotr holds MSc in engineering from Technical University in Gdańsk/Poland (1991) and PhD in engineering from AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków/Poland (1998).
Chris McMillen is the Senior Product Line Manager for Bently Nevada, a Baker Hughes business, sensors and edge condition monitoring solutions. He is responsible for both new developments and lifecycle management within the Bently Nevada portfolio for both wired and wireless solutions. His 25+ years with the business have included roles within engineering, project management, mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and leadership. Chris is a graduate of Washington State University in Pullman, WA with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
